Day 11 | Thinking of You

8/22/2018

God never stops thinking about you. Not for a moment. You are always on his mind. You are always the focus of his attention.

How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!

Psalm 139:17–18 (NLT)

Day 10 | God is Always With You

8/21/2018

No matter what you do, God’s love for you never changes. You can count on him. You can pray with confidence because God is a caring, consistent, close, and competent Father. He promises to always stay by your side. Don’t ever give up on your walk with him. He will never give up on his walk with you.

I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. I will not, I will not, I will not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let you down or relax my hold on you. Assuredly not!

Hebrews 13:5 (AMPC)

Day 9 | Faithful Father

8/20/2018

God is always faithful, always true, and always available. Even if you turn your back on God, he will not turn his back on you. God’s love for you is not based on your performance; it is based entirely on his character. And God’s character never changes. Therefore, God’s love for you will never fail.

Even when we are too weak to have any faith left, God remains faithful to us and will help us, for he cannot disown us who are a part of himself, and he will always carry out his promises to us.

2 Timothy 2:13 (TLB)

Day 8 | Invincible Love

8/19/2018

God loves you more deeply and compassionately than any earthly father could love his child. God loves you more tenderly and faithfully than any earthly mother is capable of loving her baby. Nothing can stop God from loving you. Not your failures, not your attitude, not your sins or stubbornness—nothing can stop him from loving you. When you truly know how much your heavenly Father loves you, it will radically change your prayer life. It will enable you to pray with more confidence than ever before.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38–39 (NIV)

Day 7 | Do Your Part

8/18/2018

There are two parts to your partnership with God. Your part is the asking. God’s part is the doing. But the ultimate purpose for the answer to your prayer is that God will be glorified.

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

John 14:13–14 (NIV)

Day 6 | The Penetrating Power of Prayer

8/17/2018

Prayer is God’s way of letting us partner with him to accomplish his purposes on earth. Jesus said we would do even greater things than he did. How is that possible? Simple. Through prayer. Like spiritual missiles, your prayers release the power of God into the most hopeless situations. They penetrate places where no man or woman can go, whether that’s a closed, international border, or the hardened heart of a skeptic. Prayer makes the impossible possible. So pray!

I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father.

John 14:12 (NIV)

Day 5 | Desire and Delight

8/16/2018

God delights in answering the prayers of those who delight in him. What can you ask for? Ask for what you want. The Bible says, “He fulfills the desires of those who reverence and trust him,” Psalm 145:19 (TLB). He doesn’t just fill the needs—he fulfills the desires. Why? Because if you reverence God and find delight in him, your desires will line up with his will.

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 (NIV)
